Cross-device and cross-firm transfer now flows through JurisPrep cloud sync. The legacy “import/export to file” workflow has been replaced by automatic syncing — see Moving a case between devices below.
Create a new case using JurisDiscovery
JurisDiscovery is the desktop eDiscovery and ingest engine where most cases begin. Its case-builder walks you through setting up the case and bringing in your initial documents.
Open the case-builder
Launch JurisDiscovery and start a new case from the case-builder. This is where you give the case its name and core details.
Follow the guided setup
Work through the case-builder steps to configure the case and begin ingesting your documents and discovery materials.

Moving a case between devices
You no longer need to manually export a case file from JurisDiscovery and import it into JurisTrial (or vice versa). JurisPrep keeps your cases and case data in sync across the suite.Desktop to iPad
A case built in JurisDiscovery syncs through JurisPrep so it’s available in the JurisTrial iPad app.
iPad to Desktop
A case created in JurisTrial syncs back through JurisPrep to your JurisDiscovery workspace.
Because syncing is handled by JurisPrep, both the case structure and the underlying case data — documents, tags, and markup — stay current wherever you open the case. Be sure each device is connected and signed in to JurisPrep so changes propagate.
